This is a remake of a previous posting of "Phoenix". I made the old bird at the bottom a little more ashen. I had thought to draw a traditional autumn haint. But the Phoenix tale, rising from the ashes of the consumed parent bird, seemed to fit the theme so well.

That's lovely. I like the contrast of the bright and alive colors above the sombre below.
nice design, i like that it kinda leaves room for many interpretations. i was thinking of a bird flying from an envelope first, then of a bird s reflection in a lake within mountain scenery.
